I played every Spyro game and trust me, our beloved purple dragon never turned evil! Misunderstandings can happen in any dragon realm though.
The plot never thickens to Spyro going bad! He’s always been fighting the bad guys, not joining them. Simple as that.
Spyro's a good-hearted dragon through and through! Perhaps you're thinking of his purple rival, Ripto, or an alternate storyline where Spyro gets brainwashed. But in most of his colorful adventures, Spyro remains on the hero's side, battling evil rather than embracing it.
