Gotta love the plot twists! The Titans were humans turned into massive, man-eating monsters by a special serum. Yup, that's Isayama’s crazy creation for you!

The Titans in Attack on Titan were originally humans transformed by a mysterious substance called Titan serum. Injecting the serum caused a horrific transformation into mindless giants. Pretty wild, right?

Hot take: The Titans are just humans on a VERY bad day. Inject some Titan serum, and BAM, dinner plate-sized humans everywhere.

From what I remember, the Titans emerged from humans exposed to Titan serum. This serum caused them to turn into gigantic beings. I found it mind-blowing when I first watched the series!
