BustingSpire路3 months agoValve used a series of hilarious and iconic 'Meet the Team' videos to advertise Team Fortress 2. Each video introduced a different character class with a lot of humor and personality. Seriously, who can forget the Heavy's sandwich obsession?

Valve heavily relied on word-of-mouth and the game's unique art style to draw in curious gamers. Sometimes the best marketing is just having a really fun game!
They bundled it with the Orange Box in 2007, so it piggybacked on the success of Half-Life 2 and Portal. Smart move, Valve!
They also used a comic series that expanded the game's lore and made the community even more invested. Pretty genius marketing if you ask me!
