In Animal Crossing, two players can play together on the same system through a feature called 'Party Play'. One player is the leader, and the others are followers, but you can switch roles anytime. Both get to run around the island, fish, catch bugs, and more! Also, if you've got two Switches and two copies of the game, you can visit each other's islands which is super fun.

Just grab a Joy-Con each and you're good to go for couch co-op! It's that simple. Oh, and don鈥檛 forget, the leader controls where you both can go, so pick wisely or be prepared for a wild ride!

Honestly, local multiplayer on the same console isn't that great. You're better off playing on separate consoles for the full experience.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
