In Zendikar Rising, double-sided cards, also known as modal double-faced cards (MDFCs), have two faces you can choose from when you play them. One side often presents a land that taps for mana, while the other side might feature a spell or creature. This dual functionality gives players more flexibility in using their cards effectively, depending on the situation in-game. You just gotta remember you can only play one side when you play it—you can't flip it mid-game!

Double-sided cards work by choosing which side you want to play when you play them. You can't switch between sides once in play. So think ahead!

Honestly, double-sided cards in Zendikar Rising just seem overhyped. Stick to single-faced cards to avoid confusion and keep your game strong.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
