Energy counters in MTG are like a personal stash of power you can spend without using mana. You collect them through various card effects that say 'you get [some amount of] energy counters.' Once you've got them, they sit with you, not on the battlefield. Think of them as invisible tokens you can use to fuel further card abilities that require spending energy. You can stockpile them and spend them whenever you like, as long as you've got the cards that use them.

Been playing MTG for years and I love the energy mechanic. It's like having an extra mana pool that doesn't empty as you pass turns. You get these counters from cards, then use them to activate abilities on other cards. Super handy and can really turn the game in your favor if you use them right.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
