Equipment cards in Magic The Gathering are like giving your creatures a boost or some sweet gear to wear into battle. Think of it as armor or weapons for your creatures. First, you play the equipment card by paying its mana cost. Then, you have to pay a separate cost, usually mana, to 'attach' the equipment to a creature you control. This gives the creature whatever bonus or ability the equipment card describes. Don't forget, you can move equipment between creatures by paying the attach cost again, but only any time you could cast a sorcery.

Short and sweet: Equipment cards are artifacts that attach to creatures to buff them up. Pay to play, pay to attach. Boom, your creature is now tougher or has cooler abilities.

Honestly, I never got the hype around equipment cards. Sure, they can be game-changers, but enchantments do the trick without the extra hassle of attaching and reattaching. To each their own, I guess.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
