Why not just give them an allowance and let them buy V-Bucks themselves? Teach them a bit about managing money at the same time!
You'll need to log in to the Epic Games account linked to your kid's Fortnite account. Then, head to the V-Bucks purchase page, choose your pack, and pay up! Don't forget to set up parental controls if you haven鈥檛 already.
I did this last week for my son. You just go to the Epic Games website, sign in, and click on 'Get V-Bucks.' It鈥檚 pretty straightforward from there. You can then choose your payment method and specify the amount.
