First, you gotta be an admin. Then head to the group's main page, hit 'More' under the cover photo, select 'Edit Group Settings,' and scroll down to 'Archive Group.' Note: only admins can do this!

I've archived a few groups before. Just navigate to 'Edit Group Settings' under 'More' and choose 'Archive Group.' Super simple!
