To block Messenger, go to the Messenger app, find the person you wish to block, tap their name at the top, and select 'Block'. Easy peasy!
Open Facebook Messenger, tap on the chat of the person, tap their name, scroll down, and hit 'Block' twice. Done!
I've had to do this before. Open the Messenger app, find the chat with the person, tap their name, and then choose 'Block' from the menu. It's that simple!
If you're on the Facebook app, tap the menu icon, go to 'Settings & Privacy', then 'Settings', find 'Blocking' under 'Privacy', and add names to your block list.
