I had this issue once. Click on the three horizontal lines (menu), go to Settings & Privacy, then Language. Pick English from the list.
Use the little down arrow at the top right, go to Settings & Privacy, then Language and Region. Voila, back to English!
Honestly, just use Google Translate to navigate back to the language settings. Works like a charm!
