No can do, amigo! Steam doesn't let you change your account name since it's your permanent identifier. What you *can* change is your profile name - that's what friends and other gamers see. Just hit up your profile, click 'Edit Profile' on the right side, and there's your ticket to a new identity!

Actually, your Steam account name is set in stone, can't change it. But you can change your profile name anytime to keep things fresh.

Good luck trying, but that account name is yours forever. Valve made sure of it. You can play around with your profile name though, give that a whirl!
