Tried changing my account name to avoid my ex. Realized you can't change the login name. Great for friends, not so great for hiding.
Changing your Steam account name (display name) is easy! Just open Steam, click on your current username at the top right corner, then go to 'View my profile.' Hit 'Edit Profile' and there you'll find the option to change your profile name. Remember, your account name used to log in won't change, but your profile name that friends see will.
