To chat in MTG Arena, you can't directly type messages to your opponent during a match due to the game's design focusing on a positive play environment. However, you can use emotes to communicate by clicking on your avatar to bring up a selection of pre-defined messages.

Nope, no typing chat. Just emotes and friend DMs. Keeps the trolls away, I guess.

If you're looking to chat with friends in MTG Arena, you can add them to your friends list. Once they're added, you can start a direct message conversation with them! Just click on the friends icon on the lower right side, select their name, and you'll see an option to 'Challenge' or 'Chat'. Easy peasy!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
