You need to approach a wall, press and hold the space bar, and use your directional keys to move upward.
Just spam the space bar near a wall and see if that works. That's what I do, and it usually gets me up there.
Climbing is super easy! Just walk up to a climbable surface and keep holding the space bar. Your character will stick to it and start climbing!
