Head to the PS3's main menu, hit Settings, then Network Settings, followed by Internet Connection Settings. Choose Easy setup, select Wireless, and scan for networks. Pick yours, punch in the Wi-Fi password, and voila, you're online!
I just did this last week! Open Settings on your PS3, go to Network Settings, and select Internet Connection Settings. Choose the Easy setup method, pick Wireless, and find your Wi-Fi network in the list. Enter your Wi-Fi passkey correctly and you should be connected!
Just hook it up with an ethernet cable. Problem solved.
