Pinterest doesn't let you delete single messages. You have to delete the whole conversation. Just go to the conversation, tap the three dots, and hit delete.
You can only delete entire conversations, not individual messages. Just open the convo, hit the three dots, and choose 'Delete conversation.' Done and dusted.
