You can disable random messages on PSN by changing your privacy settings. Go to your PS4/PS5 settings, select Account Management, then Privacy Settings. From there, you can set Messages to 'Friends Only' or 'No One'. Problem solved!

Had the same issue! I changed my message settings to 'Friends Only' and it worked like a charm. No more unsolicited messages!

If you want to stop getting random messages, just set messages to 'No One' in your privacy settings. You can thank me later!
