Go to settings, click on 'Name', and change it. Facebook might ask you to confirm with your password.
From my experience, you go to 'Settings' and find 'Name' under 'General'. It's quick and they let you know when it's ready!
Simply navigate to Account Settings > Personal Information > Name, where you can edit your username.
