Pro tip: If you have a line equation in a different form, like ax + by = c, simply solve for y to get it into slope-intercept form!

You need two things: the slope (m) and the y-intercept (b). If you have a point (x1, y1) and the slope, use y - y1 = m(x - x1) to rearrange into y = mx + b.

If you've got a graph, find the point where the line crosses the y-axis鈥攖hat's your b. Then, pick another point, use the rise over run to find the slope (m), and bam, y = mx + b!

Easy peasy! Just get your equation into the format y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. If you have two points, find the slope by using (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1), then plug in one point to solve for b!
