How Do I Fix My PS3 Not Reading Discs?
I had the same problem! I just reset the PS3 system settings. Go to Settings > System Settings > Restore Default Settings. Worked like a charm for me!

First, try cleaning the disc. Use a soft cloth to wipe it from the center outward. If that doesn't help, you might want to clean the PS3's laser lens with a lens cleaning kit.
Check if other discs work. If none of them do, then it's probably the laser and you may need to get it repaired or replaced.
Honestly, sometimes those lasers just give up. Your best bet might be to contact PlayStation support or take it to a professional repair service.
