How do I go to sleep in Animal Crossing?
In Animal Crossing, you don't actually need to make your character sleep like you would in some other games. The game doesn't have a sleep mechanic for the player's character because it runs in real-time, matching the actual time of day. So, whenever you're ready to stop playing, just save your game and close it. Your character will take care of themselves!

You can't. Sleep isn't a thing for your character in Animal Crossing. If you're tired, just save and quit. Your villager is apparently powered by the same endless energy as a toddler on a sugar rush.
No sleeping required! Just save your progress and close the game. The beauty of Animal Crossing is that it's always there when you come back, no sleep needed.
Actually, in New Horizons, you can 'go to sleep' in your bed but it's not like you're thinking. It's more for entering the dream suite to visit other islands in dreams. Just lie down in any bed in your house and select 'I want to sleep.' That's as close as you get to making your character sleep.
