To hide your friends list, go to your profile, click the Friends tab, hit the pencil icon at the top right, and select 'Edit Privacy'. From there, set 'Who can see your friends list?' to 'Only Me'!
Just go to the Friends section on your profile, click the pencil icon, choose 'Edit Privacy', and set it to 'Only Me'. Bam, done.
