You gotta go to your profile, tap the menu, then Settings -> Privacy -> Posts, and flip the switch to hide likes!
I'm doing this and it works great! It's all about tapping your profile -> menu -> settings -> privacy -> posts and turning off 'hide likes & view counts.'
I'm not a fan of hiding likes. Show your appreciation out loud!
