First off, you gotta find the Railroad. Start the 'Road to Freedom' quest by heading to Boston Common near the Park Street Station entrance. You'll find a trail marked by the Freedom Trail sign. Follow the red line on the ground and the signs - it's like a historic tour with a twist! Once you reach the Old North Church, go inside, navigate the tunnels, and solve the puzzle using the 'FREEDOM' code. Bam, you're in, talking to Desdemona, ready to join the Railroad.
Honestly, it's not even worth it. Just go join the Brotherhood of Steel. Much cooler toys to play with.
I actually stumbled upon the Railroad by accident during my second playthrough. Was just exploring and I ended up in Boston Common, followed this red line and boom, secret underground group found. Totally worth it, gives the game a whole new layer of depth!
