Simple! Look at the mana cost in the top right corner of the card. You need enough lands (or other sources of mana) in play that match the colors and total amount of mana listed. Also, make sure the card matches the format you're playing - some cards are banned in certain formats!

Mana cost is key. If you've got the lands to match, you're golden. But don't forget to check if the card is allowed in your format. Some cards are too wild for standard play!

Just read the rulebook, lol. But for real, check the mana cost and make sure it's legal in your game format. That's pretty much it.

Honestly, just use an app. There are tons out there that let you scan your card and tell you if it's legal in your format and how you can play it. Saves a lot of headache.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
