From personal experience, all you need to do is log in to the PS Store, head to Payment Methods, and add your PayPal account. Just follow the instructions, and it’s done in a minute!

Easy peasy! Just log into your PSN account on your console or via the web. Go to Account Management, select Payment Methods, and add PayPal. Follow the prompts and you're good to go!

You can't do it directly on the console. Use the browser on your computer to link PayPal. Way smoother that way.
