Easy peasy! When you're about to publish your post, look for the audience selector button (usually it says 'Friends' or 'Friends except...'). Click on it and choose 'Public.' Boom, you're done!
I do this all the time. Just make sure to click the 'Friends' button below your name when creating the post. Select 'Public' from the list. Done and dusted!
