Why not just leave the profile as is? Sometimes it's nice to visit the old posts and memories as they were.
To create a memorial page on Facebook, you just need to report the deceased person's profile and request memorialization. You'll need to provide a copy of the death certificate or an obituary. Afterward, Facebook will turn the profile into a memorial page.
