I set up a sub account for my little brother last week. You start by creating the sub account through Family Management in the primary account settings. After that, he enjoyed all the benefits of my PS Plus subscription without any extra cost.

First, log into your primary PSN account and go to 'Settings.' From there, select 'Parental Controls/Family Management' and then 'Family Management.' You can add a new user by selecting 'Add Family Member' and following the prompts to create a sub account. Once the sub account is created, log into it and the primary account鈥檚 PS Plus benefits like online multiplayer and free monthly games will be shared automatically!
Short version: Create a sub account via 'Family Management' in settings, then it inherits PS Plus from the primary account. Easy peasy.
Just create a sub account under your main one via family settings, and it will automatically share the PS Plus benefits. Simple as that.
