On individual photos, click the photo, then the privacy icon (looks like a globe or two people) and select 'Only me.' Repeat for each photo you want private.
Just go to the photo or album, click the audience selector, and choose 'Only me.' You've got this!
I just set my photos to 'Friends' because who cares if friends see them? But if you insist on privacy, 'Only me' is the way.
