You just need to keep trying different strategies until you find one that works. Sometimes it's just about getting lucky with the right power-ups.
Level 45 isn't that hard. You're probably overthinking it. Just go for the big combos and clear the obstacles as soon as you can.
It took me forever, but I passed by focusing on one section of the board at a time and making sure to use my power-ups efficiently. Good luck!
