How Do I Remove Contacts from Facebook Messenger?
Super easy! Just open Messenger, go to the People tab, then Contacts, and find the person you want to remove. Tap on their name and select 'Remove Contact.' Done and done!

I'm a long-time user and what works for me is to open Messenger, go to the People icon at the bottom, tap Contacts, and then just swipe left on the person you want to remove. You'll see the option to remove them!
You really can't. Just block them if you want them gone.
