To remove someone, go to your profile, tap on 'Manage Friends', find the person you want to remove, and tap 'Remove Friend'. Easy peasy!

Had to do this myself! Just go to 'Manage Friends' in your profile, find the annoying player, and hit 'Remove Friend'. Problem solved!
