If they didn't tag you, you'll need to screenshot it and then upload it to your story manually. Just remember to give credit!
Sorry to break it to you, but you can't repost a story unless they've tagged you. Don't shoot the messenger.
From my experience, you can ask the person to tag you in the story so you can easily repost it.
