To reset your PS3, go to Settings > System Settings > Restore PS3 System. This will wipe everything, so back up your data first!

Hold power button, wait for beeps, done. Simple.

Just hold down the power button for around 10 seconds until it beeps twice. This will reset video output and other settings.

Factory reset a PS3? Easy. Go to Settings, scroll to System Settings, and select Restore PS3 System. Remember to back up your data though, it's irreversible!
