Resetting your Animal Crossing game depends on which version you're playing. For older versions like on the GameCube, Wii, or Nintendo DS, you usually have to hold down a combination of buttons on the console or handheld device as the game starts up. For Animal Crossing: New Horizons on the Switch, it's a bit different. You have to actually open the Switch's system settings, navigate to the 'Data Management' section, and then find the option to delete the save data for Animal Crossing. Remember, this will completely wipe your island and start you from scratch, so make sure that's what you really want!

I had to reset mine once because I totally messed up my island layout. It was sad to see all my hard work go, but starting fresh was actually pretty fun! Just make sure you're ready to say bye to your villagers.

Just delete your save file, man. Go to system settings on your Switch, then 'Data Management,' and boom - goodbye island.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
