Honestly, I just sell most of my junk for caps. Scrapping takes time and storage, and caps are king in Fallout 4.

Scrapping items in Fallout 4 is super simple once you get the hang of it. First, make your way to any settlement you've got control over. Then, find a workbench – doesn't matter if it's for weapons, armor, or general crafting. Hit the button to use it, and you'll see an option to transfer items. Toss in whatever you don't need, exit the bench, and then enter the workshop mode (usually by holding down the 'V' key on PC, 'Touchpad' on PS4, or 'View' on Xbox One). Now, just point at the items in the workbench inventory, and you should see the option to scrap them for parts. Boom! You're now a post-apocalyptic recycler.

Just drop the junk on the ground, enter workshop mode, and scrap it directly. Fast and easy!

If you're a Fallout 4 player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
