Use an ad blocker plugin on your browser. It won't catch everything but it'll get most of 'em. Just remember, Facebook's gotta pay the bills somehow!
Honestly, quitting Facebook is the only surefire way to get rid of all ads. Otherwise, play around with ad settings and preferences.
