Super easy! Just open Spotify, click on the menu (three dots) at the top left, go to Edit -> Preferences -> Show Advanced Settings, and under Startup and Window Behavior, turn off 'Open Spotify automatically after you log into the computer.'
Seriously, just open Task Manager and disable it from the Startup tab. Takes like 10 seconds.
If you're on a Mac, go to System Preferences -> Users & Groups -> Login Items, find Spotify, and click the '-' button to remove it. Easy peasy!
