Step 1: Turn on your Xbox 360 and your controller. Step 2: Press the sync button on the console. Step 3: Press and hold the sync button on the controller. Lights should flash and then be steady once synced!

It's pretty easy! Press the sync button on your Xbox 360 console until it starts flashing, then press and hold the sync button on your controller until the light flashes too. They should sync up like long-lost friends!
