Telling if a Pokemon card is rare can be pretty simple once you know what to look for. Check the bottom right corner of the card for a symbol. Common cards have a circle, uncommon cards have a diamond, and rare cards have a star. Some super rare cards might have a shiny holographic finish or unique symbols like three stars or a star H to indicate they're extra special!

Rare cards aren't just about the symbols, though. Texture matters too! Full art or cards with a textured finish are often very rare. So, if it feels different, you've got something special.

Just flip that card and check the symbol at the bottom. Star = Rare. Easy peasy.

Honestly, it's all about the symbol and finish. But don't forget some rare cards are more 'secret' than others, like those with numbers exceeding the collection's print list. Always check beyond the symbols!

If you're a Pokemon TCG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
