Honestly, you could just pull the plug... but probably don't do that. Stick to the menu or power button for safety.

You can shut it down from the quick menu. Just press the PS button, go to the power options, and choose 'Turn Off PS5.' Simple as that!

You can also turn it off by pressing the power button on the console itself. Just press and hold it until you hear two beeps鈥攐ne right away and another after about 7 seconds. Worked like a charm when I tried it!

Easy peasy! Press and hold the PS button on your controller until the Control Center shows up. Then, navigate to the power options icon and select 'Turn Off PS5.'

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
