Easy peasy! Turn on your PS3, go to 'Settings,' then 'System Update.' Select 'Update via Internet,' and your console will handle the rest!

You can also update it via a USB stick if your internet is slow. Download the update file from the PlayStation website, save it in a folder named 'PS3/UPDATE' on a FAT32 USB drive, and insert it into your console. Go to 'Settings,' then 'System Update,' and select 'Update via Storage Media.'

Just make sure your PS3 is connected to the internet and follow the on-screen prompts from the 'System Update' option in 'Settings.' It's really straightforward!

Updates are overrated. Mine's still running fine on the original firmware!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
