Updating Steam is a piece of cake! Steam automatically checks for updates every time you start it up. If there's an update available, it'll start downloading it right away. However, if you somehow missed an update or it didn't auto-update for some reason, just restart Steam. You can do this by clicking 'Steam' in the top left corner, then 'Exit'. After you close it, open Steam again, and it should check for updates and download any available.

Just keep Steam running and it'll update itself. Seriously, it's that lazy-friendly.

Had to learn this the hard way but if Steam's acting glitchy and not updating, try running it as Administrator. Right-click the Steam shortcut, choose 'Run as administrator', and voila! This often kicks it into gear if automatic updates are being stubborn.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
