How do I update Steam?
AssemblingDelta路7 months agoUpdating Steam is a piece of cake! Steam automatically checks for updates every time you start it up. If there's an update available, it'll start downloading it right away. However, if you somehow missed an update or it didn't auto-update for some reason, just restart Steam. You can do this by clicking 'Steam' in the top left corner, then 'Exit'. After you close it, open Steam again, and it should check for updates and download any available.

Just keep Steam running and it'll update itself. Seriously, it's that lazy-friendly.
Had to learn this the hard way but if Steam's acting glitchy and not updating, try running it as Administrator. Right-click the Steam shortcut, choose 'Run as administrator', and voila! This often kicks it into gear if automatic updates are being stubborn.
