Why bother? Half the fun is the random villagers that move in. Using amiibo feels like cheating the surprise away.

Super easy! Just head over to the Nook Stop terminal in your Resident Services building in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. There, you'll find an option to invite a camper via amiibo. Pop your amiibo card onto your Nintendo Switch's NFC touchpoint (the right Joy-Con or the middle of the Pro Controller), and voil脿, the character from the card will show up in your game!

Actually, you can also use amiibo cards to invite characters to Photopia on Harvey's island for a photo shoot, not just to your campsite. So grab your favorite amiibo cards, and start snapping some stylish Animal Crossing pics!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
