Instant cards are like your secret weapons in Magic The Gathering. You can play them during almost any phase of the game – your turn, your opponent's turn, whenever really – as long as you got the mana. Big move is to wait till your opponent thinks they've got the upper hand, then BAM! Drop an instant card. Great for surprise attacks or to suddenly change the game's direction. Just make sure you're reading the room (and the game) right!

I see instant cards as the game's 'Gotcha!' moments. Played right, they turn tides. Played wrong, they're just mana waste. Timing is everything. Caught an opponent off guard once with a well-timed instant. Nothing beats that look of 'oops' on their face.

Instants are simple: use them anytime. Doesn't matter if it's not your turn. That’s what makes them powerful and unpredictable.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
