MTG Arena tournaments work by players entering into competitions which are often structured in formats like Constructed or Draft. You'll enter a tournament with your deck (constructed from your collection for that particular format), and then battle it out against opponents in a series of matches. The goal is to win as many matches as possible to advance through the tournament stages. Some tournaments have an entry fee (either in-game currency or real money), and prizes can range from in-game rewards to exclusive cosmetic items.

Just sign up, pay the entry if there's one, and get ready to throw down! Most tournaments got a Swiss format, meaning you play several rounds against folks with similar records. Do well enough and advance to the knockout stage or top cut where the real fun begins.

Honestly, it's a mixed bag. You can have a blast or get crushed early. Depends on your deck and how you play it.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
