How do MTG Card Prices Rise and Fall?
DroppingSway路7 months agoMTG card prices fluctuate based on several factors, like rarity, demand, and tournament play. When a card starts seeing lots of play in competitive decks, its price usually goes up because everyone wants it for their own decks. On the flip side, if a card gets banned or falls out of favor, the price can drop since fewer players need or want it. Also, limited releases or special editions can make certain cards more valuable due to their rarity.

Don't forget hype! Sometimes all it takes is a popular player or streamer to praise a card, and its price will jump even if it's not seeing competitive play.
Supply and demand, baby! If a card is rare and everyone wants it, the price skyrockets. If it's common as dirt or just not that useful, the price drops. Simple economics.
