Just turn on crossplay in the settings and add them by username. Easy peasy.
I've been playing Apex with my PS4 friends from my PC, and it's actually seamless. Just ensure everyone's got cross-play enabled and you're good to roll. The in-game voice chat works fine for us, so no issues there.
